To obtain ESL Program Specialist certification, students must:
Having completed the courses and field experiences required for the ESL Program Specialist certification, candidates with existing instructional certificates can apply for additional certification as an ESL Program Specialist K-12. The ESL Program Specialist is an endorsement that can be added to an existing PA teaching certificate. It cannot stand alone. Other states may have additional requirements for ESL certification.
The following courses are required to complete the ESL Program Specialist certification. Course substitutions are rarely made.
